Vacation is almost finished: most compo's start..
There are a lot of new compo's being started now.
MDP started Gene Supercross, which let's you drive the tracks of the American Championship. The comp will start in october, but you can sign up already.
rewrew412 is starting Generally D1 Drifting. It should simulate the real drifting championship D1GP. You can download the cars already and currently he's looking for track suggestions.
Dream Car GP will also start soon, but you're still in time to join. To compo is unique, because for each race you can make your own setup! With a nice point system this should be a very interesting championship too see how every setup works out.
And last but (hopefully) not least, I (Ben797) started GR S1600. This will be a rally championship on a lot of different stages. I don't have any entrants yet, but hopefully they'll come soon.

Not much on the forums this week, with a thimbleful of cars trickling through.
I have been busy with other things this weekend, with racing Friday and Knight Rider Saturday, where I spent all night watching Knight Rider at someone's house. Wow, I think Thunderbirds is a much more believable non-fiction show...

Forum Activity: Apocalypse
Yep, absolutely nothing today from what I could see. Was a wondrous thing to say, considering it's the weekend. Glad you all got outside and done some healthy things... :D

Some catching up to do...
Three evenings in a row I have had other commitments. Strange for me, as for ages I would have nothing to do except my racing on Fridays. Anyway, back to the usual...
"Cars" Expression Session
Join the fun in the RSC Art forum by painting your favourite photo into a future star of "Cars". Loads of contributions by others here too, so makes for a lot of fun. OK, not strictly GeneRally related, but in the essence of the game, fun is the idea, so give it a go. ;)

Hopefully our GeneRally review will pick up now that the views of others are included. :)
Ceter and Ben, from the respective countries of Poland and Netherlands, make for a true international feel to the writing, so no view will ever be the same as each other.
So expect some great articles to read from them both. Give them as much support as you gave me, as knowledge of a job well done does inspire us all to go on.

Yes, now you have the opportunity to join the 'team' (read 'me') and produce your scribblings of note on the subject of GeneRally. You may have a specialist subject, be it cars, tracks, or just a general mix of everything.
All that is required is your email address, so I can add it to my account here to enable you to post at your own accord. Couldn't be simpler.
In the meantime, RacinDood29 has produced copies of the Pantera and Supra for us all to enjoy. Although work is needed, the enthusiasm is there to produce yet more original and great works in the near future.

You can tell that not much has happened in my household recently. It tends to coincide with reappearances of certain GeneRally-related blogs that I have created.
Well, you are once again quids in thanks to my lack of hobbies outside of slotcar racing. With the track available on Fridays now and with myself running the race control computer, there isnt much outside of that I take part in.
Usual articles will be back in good haste, including cars, tracks, strange stuff, analysis in general and the usual rambling talk I write in. So much for change huh? ;)
Look forward to another article same time, same place tomorrow. Remember leave your views in the tagboard to your left or comment below. Leave feedback in the RSC thread if you have to, it's all good. :)

Car of the Week
This week sees another non-car this week take our prize home for the trophy cabinet, as the Easy Rider by Ms... gets to the post first. Although J4ber's WRC Pack is very outstanding, Im very sure he dont need help in knowing he is a legend already. Easy Rider takes the famous custom Harleys onto the 40 triangle worlds with style.
GZ Rating: 9/10
Track of the Week
JointEffort #40: Snake Lake wins this week for its original river layout for the boat racer at heart. Some great scenery for you al to enjoy.
GZ Rating 8.5/10
In closing...
21 today, so special day really. Look out for today's GRSR and tomorrow's GZ... ;)

Evening folks, time for some GR news...
Return of GRSR
Finally returned is the competition section of GZ as its own blog. I did promise it a while ago, but never got around to it. Well, expect some great race reports, some compo news and reviews and other things in between for the future.
Ms... is on a Car Rampage
That busy bloke of the forums has been busy in the last week, producing three different cars for us all to keep and play with. Drag Midget certainly takes the biscuit for sheer oddity, even for this game. From what I can tell in the picture, it appears to be a four cylinder turbo on a dragster chassis with a Midget cabin attached on front. Certainly an oddity to us all in the Western civilisation. Who says cars are dull? :D
WRC Pack by J4ber released
This is a historic day as the WRC Pack has been uploaded and ready for your download at RSC. J4ber has shown us the way to new heights of rallying pleasure once again. :)
In closing...
I reckon its been a good issue today. What you guys reckon? ;)
